Simple Things Sunday

This week's simple thing is the dozen red roses that my husband gave me for my birthday. It is one of those milestone birthdays. You'll just have to guess which one because I'm not telling. Anyway it is rare for him to give me roses so this was so sweet.

The photo was taken with a 50mm fixed lens.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Fragrant
The sent of a rose is so wonderful.
(For Snapshot Sunday: This photo was taken with a 50mm fixed lens and no post editing. Not because I wouldn't want to but because I don't know how yet.)
New
These new little baby ducks are being watched over by their parents. I don't know how old they are however.

Life
The live of a butter fly is an amazing story all on it's own.

Pink
This little girl is a pink addict but not always a girly girl.

Obvious
It's obvious that she loves her grandpa!
Thanks for challenging us all to be creative and learn more about photography.

Easter fun

The Simple Things is hosted by Rebecca Cooper. This sunday it is about Easter. One of my favorite parts of Easter is to dye eggs. I guess it is because I love color!

Here are the colors we made from Wilton dyes:

And the results

My children are all grown but they still love to help dye eggs so here is my lovely assistant, my daughter.

We also had to try making some cute easter cookies we saw on Pinterest.

While our creative efforts were fun there is a whole other realm to the real meaning of Easter. It is far more important for us and we hope you are touched by it as we are.

The Simple Things Sunday

Thanks to Simple as That we have another Simple Things Sunday. This is Conference Sunday. We have a three year old and a six month old grandsons. WE wanted to be able to enjoy Conference and soak in the messages so we made a Conference pack for our older grandson. He loved it!!! Each lunch bag contained an activity and maybe a treat. His aunt helped him color, play games and find treats while we watched Conference and she listened as well. He was well entertained through the morning meeting. During the second meeting he was able to play with all the things he had discovered in the first meething. Thank you to all the pinners who put up ideas on Pinterest. We enjoyed finding activities adjusted to his age.

Later he jumped rope and his little brother found that very entertaining!!!

Pure Joy!
