The Simple Things Sunday

This week we had a sibling weekend reunion. There was a mountain peek behind the cabin so we set off to climb it. You drive a windy, switchback style road up 3/4 of the way and then hike the rest. It was a steep climb but what a view!!!

One could meditate up here for hours, except we saw a bear on the way up and that made us glad there were six of us.

It was early evening but the view was spectacular.

Simple Things Sunday - Father's Day

It's father's day and I can't take pictures of our father because he has passed on. I can't send him a card either so I decided to share these pictures that I took a long time ago of him. Don't worry. I did take these pictures just not this week. My Dad resting from hiking. He did a lot of hiking, fishing and exploring in his day. He grew up on a farm in Idaho and loved being out in nature. He had a great reverence for God's creations. My Dad at Snow Canyon having a mini campout with our kids. They loved spending time with their grandpa. Happy Father's Day Dad!

Simple Things Sunday

This is a week for celebrating in our family!!! So we celebrated by making red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. They were wonderfully delicious . . .

The order is backwards on purpose but look how red the batter is!!!
Have a great Sunday!!!

Creamy Light Tutorial

I just found a tutorial and an action for that tutorial called Creamy Light from Polished Picture

I thought I'd try it so here is the before:
and after the Creamy Light tutorial:

I thought I would post these so that I could see the difference side by side. Thanks for the tutorial! It was very easy to follow. I must admit that I don't really know why things are done that way but it works and that is the main point.
